AEW's Darby Allin Names His Favorite Wrestlers To Work With

There's not many in pro wrestling today quite like Darby Allin, as the former AEW Men's World Champion treats every match as though it was his last, throwing caution to the wind and seeing how much of the line he can cross. So it comes as no surprise that Allin's favorite opponents are performers that have the same mindset. In an interview with "Br. Beau Hightower" as he was getting a chiropractic adjustment, Allin revealed who his favorite counterparts were.

"I'd say Mox, Brody, Max, anything with Sting...someone who speaks my language of what we want out of the wrestling world," Allin said. "And it goes far beyond just like 'Oh, we want to be famous.' It goes like 'Hey, we got this sensation that we want to do things our way.' And I feel like that's what I want most out of wrestling, is just to...the crazy s**t that we can do on national TV is insane. And I want...people that have that drive to do something that's never been done in wrestling."

As it turned out, one of Allin's preferred opponents happened to be in the room with him, as King was spotted watching as Allin got his adjustment. The Brodido member, and one third of the AEW World Trios Champions, confirmed he shared the same mindset as Allin, and that the two try to look for ways to differentiate wrestling from the usual tropes.

"I feel like there's a lot of times too...especially with the people that you just mentioned, we'll be talking about stuff and we'll go 'Nah, that's too pro wrestling,'" King said. "And then it's like, how do we make this a little more edgier or different?"
