AEW's Dax Harwood Says This WWE NXT Match 'Lit The Fuse' For FTR (FKA The Revival)

FTR are widely considered one of the best tag teams of their generation, and while some might disagree, they are definitely one of the most decorated of their era. Currently, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are on a hiatus from pro wrestling, allowing Harwood to look back at their shared careers and identify the moment he believes they set off on the path they'd find themselves on today. During an interview with "Cromulent Wrestling," Harwood was reminded of FTR's clash against American Alpha (Chad Gable and Jason Jordan) at NXT TakeOver: Dallas.

"Obviously, one of my favorite matches, the match that really lit the fuse for myself and Cash, back in 2016," Harwood said. He recalled how they had feuded with Enzo Amore and Big Cass prior to this, and while they loved it, the angle with American Alpha was what really established them on "NXT."

Back in 2023, Harwood went more in-depth about his ongoing relationship with Gable, who currently holds WWE's men's Intercontinental Championship. He also shared his sadness about Jordan's career getting cut off by injury. The love hasn't only gone one way, either as Gable commented on FTR's success in AEW and admitted that he would have loved for them to come back to WWE.
