AEW's Adam Copeland Comments On Whether WWE World Champion Roman Reigns Is Overrated

Adam Copeland has discussed the recent discourse about whether WWE's Roman Reigns is overrated, having feuded with him just a few years ago.

Podcaster Conrad Thompson recently made a controversial remark that Reigns is overrated, with his co-host and WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff also claiming that he's bored of "The Original Tribal Chief." Copeland, who had a feud with Reigns in 2021, began his take on the topic by stating that such opinions are subjective to each individual.

"I mean, it's all up to the person and their take. It's all subjective. You know, some people will think I'm overrated," he began while speaking on "The Ariel Helwani Show." "Like, who cares? Like, honestly, who cares? There's no better answer [than that] to me."

Copeland then delved into his experience of working with Reigns, speaking glowingly about what he brings to the table and reiterating once again that whether someone is overrated or underrated is subjective.

"[What matters most is] Are we having fun? That's what matters to me. I've worked him. Easy to work, fun to work, good to work. [I] Loved my matches with him and I think he found the voice of his character and found something that he fully connected with. Overrated? I mean, that's up to each individual person. Again, you probably had people saying Austin was overrated or name it," added the AEW star.

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Booker T also vehemently rejected the notion that Reigns is overrated, arguing that he is currently the best in the world and stating that any opponent who gets in the ring with him will have their best match of the year. Reigns was positioned as the face of WWE a decade ago, but it took him several years to fully win over the fans, who now give him a more positive reception even when he is a heel.
