Seth Rollins Makes WWE Return During International Live Event

On Wednesday night, WWE travelled to Ecuador for the first time in 10 years to kickoff its South America Live Tour, and the fans in attendance at the Coliseo General Rumiñahui were treated to a surprise appearance from Seth Rollins, who returned in-ring action at the event.

Ahead of the show, Rollins and Becky Lynch shared a photo together online with fans in the capital of Ecuador, Quito, and according to William Beltran of SuperLuchas.com and PWInsider.com, "The Visionary" was featured in the main event last night. Rollins teamed with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa and defeated Jacob Fatu and The Usos. 

Despite losing to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam this past August, Rollins was beyond excited during his return to the ring at Wednesday's show in front of a hostile crowd in Quito. In the main event, the fans reportedly directed insults at The Bloodline, specifically chanting "You can't wrestle" at Jey Uso. Fans were also disappointed by the absence of Lynch, who was originally scheduled to wrestle on the show, but did not appear at the event in any capacity. Along with Lynch, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits had also be advertised to wrestle in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match, but we're ultimately pulled from the card.

WWE presented a three-hour show in Quito that featured seven matches, but PWInsider noted that the promotion struggled to sell tickets for the event, resulting in a poor turnout. The opening match saw Chad Gable retain the Intercontinental Title against Penta, Dragon Lee, and Ethan Page in a Fatal 4-Way, which was followed by Joe Hendry picking up a win against JD McDonagh. Another Fatal 4-Way also took place for the Women's Intercontinental Title, which saw Raquel Rodríguez defend the gold against IYO SKY, Bayley, and Sol Ruca.

Following the women's Fatal 4-Way, Bron Breakker and Austin Theory retained the WWE World Tag Team Titles against Akira Tozawa and Otis. After the match, Breakker and Theory continued to assault Tozawa and Otis, but they were saved by Oba Femi, who drew a massive reaction from the Ecuadorian audience. Additionally, Je'Von Evans defeated Big Cass in singles action and celebrated with the Ecuadorian flag after the match.

Finally, in a rematch from this past Monday's "WWE Raw," Liv Morgan defended the Women's World Championship against Stephanie Vaquer. For weeks, Lynch has been part of a storyline with Morgan and Vaquer, but it's unknown if she was supposed to be involved in the Women's World Championship match last night, or at the very least interfere in the contest.
