Ric Flair Says He's 'Back In' WWE, Plans To Attend Royal Rumble 2027

The former 16-time World Champion Ric Flair is back in the saddle with WWE again. In between his laughs with Booker T, Flair revealed to him and to the rest of the world that his return to the Stamford-based promotion is imminent, starting at the Royal Rumble next February in Glendale, Arizona.

"The road of life is going to lead me to you in Philadelphia. Then, unfortunately, I'm coming to the Royal Rumble...You're going to see a lot of me now. I'm back in," Flair announced on the "Hall of Fame" podcast. "Me and Hunter hugged. We made up. I'm back in."

"The Nature Boy" and WWE previously had several fallouts, starting with WWE's decision to ban the two-time Hall of Famer from attending any and all festivities during WrestleMania 42 weekend this past April after threatening to "beat up" Ludwig Kaiser (El Grande Americano). Along with WWE informing Flair that he was no longer allowed to be affiliated with Roots of Fight, a media and apparel brand that highlights stories of iconic athletes.

Recently, Flair filed a $10 million lawsuit against FAM Networks over likeness rights. This company promised Flair a six-figure monthly paycheck for the rights to his name, image, and likeness, which he alleges he hasn't seen a dime of since his initial signing in December 2025.

As of last September, Flair said he was still under AEW contract despite not having appeared in the promotion for some time.
