Nick Khan Breaks Down What WWE Is Looking At In Terms Of Netflix Viewership Data
WWE debuted on Netflix in January 2025, taking its weekly TV content, as well as its premium live events, to the service for those outside of the United States. Those within can catch its flagship show, "WWE Raw" on the service every Monday.
During an interview with "The Varsity," WWE President Nick Khan commented on what kind of data WWE is hoping to see about its shows on Netflix. Fans can see a weekly breakdown of "WWE Raw" viewership, both globally and domestically, each week, but only if the show hits the top 10 English TV program charts. Khan said that WWE higher-ups are interesting in knowing "all of it."
"We want to know live viewers. We want to know within the first 24 hours," he said. "Viewership within the first week. WWE's one of the unique products where you actually don't have to watch it live, because it's not [as simple as], let's say with the NBA... WWE's different, because it's not so much just about, 'Oh, Roman Reigns won this match.' It's, 'How did he win the match? What's the storyline involved with it? What was the outcome after the match?'"
Khan said they also want to know what countries the deal is working best in, and Netflix actually gave WWE what he called a "great note." He said that if they're in a location like Spain for a night, the viewership in the country obviously spikes, but if they're there for longer, viewers know the company is "boots on the ground."
"'It's not just an American company piping out American content,'" he said. "Which I no longer believe that we are. It's a global company looking to have a global footprint."
