WWE's Danhausen Wants Return To Classic Survivor Series Match As Opposed To WarGames

Since 2022, the traditional five-on-five elimination match was removed from Survivor Series and was replaced with WarGames, which is a brutal cage match that takes place inside two wrestling rings. However, after four years, some talent would like to see the original format of Survivor Series return, including Danhausen, who expressed interest in competing in the elimination match during a recent interview on "The Rich Eisen Show."

"Danhausen would love to participate at Survivor Series in a classic Survivor Series style elimination match ... regular style. No WarGames for Danhausen. If he's called, he'll do it. But he would like to do traditional, classic Survivor Series," he claimed. "Those are one of my favorite all-time matches, Survivor Series style."

After the first WarGames at Survivor Series, WWE CCO Paul "Triple H" Levesque shared that the "WWE Raw" vs. "WWE SmackDown" format of the original five-on-five elimination match was becoming "a bit tired" and needed a refresh. Triple H has yet to confirm when the traditional format of Survivor Series will return, but for this year, WWE intends to hold WarGames once again when the event makes its way to Daikin Park in Houston, Texas. At this time, the rumored teams for WarGames will see Roman Reigns leading The Bloodline into battle against Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of 946 to conclude the feud that's been taking place between both sides on "Raw."
