Nattie Hopes WWE Continues International Expansion With New Brands Similar To AAA
AAA has seen a resurgence under WWE ownership, and Nattie has suggested a grander plan to grow WWE further.
Nattie, in an edition of "Busted Open," spoke about WWE wrestlers seizing whatever opportunities they can get, advising them to go beyond the main roster to revive their careers. She gave the example of Chad Gable as El Grande Americano to illustrate how WWE stars can use platforms like AAA to bring themselves into the limelight.
"I love seeing what Gable and what El Grande Americano did in AAA, because look at El Grande, he's one of the biggest — to me, he is at the top of his game. And that all stems from finding yourself in other areas and then just letting it work for you," she began.
The veteran star, who has featured in the Mexican promotion several times, spoke about how she wishes WWE would venture into other international markets too.
"The work that we're doing with AAA in Mexico, again, I'm a dreamer and I'm a builder, and I love to see — I love building, and I love when things can be more. But I'm like, man, wouldn't that be cool if we did something like that in Japan? Wouldn't that be cool if we did something like that in Australia? Wouldn't that be cool if we did something. I love what we've done in AAA. I would love to do that with a couple of other places."
Nattie praised the work WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker and backstage executive Jeremy Borash have done in transforming AAA, and feels that a few other retired stars could help promote WWE in other parts of the world. She suggested AJ Styles as someone who could potentially create something in Japan, where he had a memorable run in NJPW.
