WWE Reportedly Incorporating More AAA Licensing In 2027
Following its recent successes in AAA over the last year, and with a TV deal rumored to be on the horizon, a new report revealed WWE is expanding its AAA licensing in 2027. The news came following WWE x AAA Worlds Collide, which went live on YouTube on Wednesday.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported they heard of several new agreements that either began recently, or will begin in the near future for AAA. According to WrestleVotes, some of those future licensing agreements include AAA stars being featured in Topps trading card sets, as well as in Funko Pop! vinyl figure lineups.
AAA stars will reportedly be in WWE 2K27, as well. Various AAA talents like El Hijo del Vikingo, Flammer, Mr. Iguana, and Psycho Clown were featured in this year's edition of the game, mostly through the Ringside Pass.
Already revealed were AAA-branded QuBee fidget toys, which are stackable, magnetic cubes that can be rearranged featuring stars like La Catalina, La Hiedra, El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., and more. Also already available for purchase is the AAA Big Shots Line, akin to the "Wrestle Buddies" plush toys of old, of which Psycho Clown, Mr. Iguana, El Grande Americano, and La Parker are featured.
WWE announced it acquired AAA during WrestleMania 41 weekend. Since then, various AAA talents have wrestled across WWE's main roster, as well as in "WWE NXT." AAA's weekly show airs on WWE's YouTube channel every Saturday, as well as on Fox in Mexico and Latin America. The company has been seeking a domestic TV deal for AAA, which is reportedly why night one of Triplemania was held in Las Vegas this year.
