It's safe to say that throughout his AEW career, Darby Allin has done some outrageously dangerous things. He has dove through glass, been thrown down flights of stairs, and jumped from heights that would put any normal person in the hospital. However, there has to be a line drawn somewhere when it comes to some of his stunts, and more often than not, it's the person he's wrestling that has to draw that line.

For example, Brian Cage has shared the ring with Darby on a number of occasions in AEW, including Cage's debut match for the company back at AEW Double or Nothing 2020. Cage was a recent guest on the "No But Seriously Though" podcast where he revealed that it was in his debut match where he has talk Darby down from doing a spot that could have given him a serious concussion.

"The only thing I've ever said no to Darby is actually my debut in AEW. He wanted me to duct tape his legs around a ladder, and then duct tape his arms around a ladder, and then pick the ladder up over my head and throw it to the outside." Cage explained that the spot would have looked similar to The Big Show slamming Rey Mysterio into the ring post at WWE Backlash 2003 while Mysterio was attached to a stretcher, which resulted in Mysterio suffering a concussion as he landed head-first on the floor in the immediate aftermath with no way to protect himself. Darby did try and convince Cage he would be fine, but Cage wasn't having any of it.

"I go 'Because of the weight, I mean it's how physics works, the ladder's going to roll and you're going to fall right on your face with your hands and your feet tied and attached to your body. Like you're getting knocked the f*** out for sure, and a bad concussion like right to the floor, there's no way.' He was like 'No I think it'll be alright,' and I'm like 'I don't think so dude.'"
