Roman Reigns has discussed what he would change from his WWE career, saying that he would've been more assertive in his early years.

Reigns came through WWE's developmental system and became one of the biggest stars in the business. However, for a long time, he wasn't fully accepted by fans, which led to him facing ridicule. During his appearance on "Club Shay Shay," "The Original Tribal Chief" said that if he could change one thing, he would have liked to say no more often to certain promos and segments.

"I probably would have said no a few more times early on, but I didn't have the equity within the company. I wasn't rooted well enough, you know, in the main event scene. I was still auditioning. I was still proving myself. I was still earning that equity," explained Reigns.

He recalled an infamous promo he had with Seth Rollins back in 2015, which people still quote to criticize him despite the good work he has done since then. He feels that if he could go back in time and change a few things, there would be two or three promos or segments in which he would have firmly told WWE management that he wasn't willing to say or do what was asked of him.

"This was like 14 years ago, and they'll still quote me for saying 'sufferin succotash.' This was so long ago. It was 12 years ago, you know? I mean, I've delivered unbelievable work since then, but still, I'll be tied to that. There wasn't that many, but there's probably two or three promos or scenarios, segments or, you know, finishes of a match or something like that that I would probably go back and develop the balls to be like, 'Nah, not today, brother,'" he added.

Despite delivering some underwhelming promos and segments, Reigns will still be regarded as one of the best wrestlers of his time and rank among WWE's all-time greats.
