The charges of reckless driving filed against former WWE chairman Vince McMahon were dropped following the conclusion of his probationary period, according to a Friday report. The charges stemmed from a July 2025 crash where McMahon totaled his 2024 Bentley after reportedly driving over 100 miles per hour.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon's one-year accelerated probationary period, approved by a judge in Connecticut last October, has concluded. McMahon complied with the conditions, and charges against him were dropped. The former head of WWE was required to only drive while licensed and insured and to avoid further legal trouble during the year. He also had to make a $1,000 charitable donation, but the Observer's report didn't mention what cause the money went to.

The same day the news of Hulk Hogan's death broke, McMahon was involved in an accident in Westport, Connecticut that involved two other vehicles. McMahon was reportedly driving around 115 mph when he crashed into the back of another vehicle while attempting to overtake it, then crashed his Bentley into a median. A third driver ran into debris that flew into another lane. A state trooper was attempting to pull McMahon over prior to the crash.

Video of the crash was released in February. Following his collision with the median, McMahon appeared dazed while telling the trooper he didn't need medical attention, and he had been speeding because he was visiting his granddaughter for her birthday. McMahon said he had not been using a phone, but hadn't driven in awhile.
