One of AEW's most infamous moments, if not the most infamous, occurred in front of media outlets during the All Out 2022 press conference, then continued behind-the-scenes in an incident branded "Brawl Out" by wrestling fans. CM Punk went off on "Hangman" Adam Page, Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, and Colt Cabana, as AEW President Tony Khan looked on as his new AEW World Champion ranted. It led to a backstage fight between Punk and Ace Steel against The Elite, with both sides being suspended from the company for a time.

AEW star and coach, Billy Gunn, has been with AEW since its inception. During an interview with "Inside the Ropes," he confirmed he wasn't around at the time of the fight, and didn't see Punk's comments, but did offer up his opinion of it all.

"They just have to realize that sometimes there's certain veterans that just aren't going to put up with that s*** no matter what," Gunn said. "If you're a young little buckaroo and you want to poke the bear, get ready to get bit. So, I think that's what happened. I don't know the whole details, that's between them."

Gunn said that during his time in WWE, things like that usually didn't happen. He said then-chairman Vince McMahon had things under control backstage, and most guys knew they didn't have to like one another in order to do business together. He said there'd be a confrontation every now and then, but wrestlers worked it out all behind-the-scenes.

"That's how grown a** people deal with s***," he said. "Nowadays, we don't, and that's sad, but there's going to be people that are going to do that."
