WWE star Matt Cardona offered an injury update on social media after suffering a torn triceps during a match back in August. Cardona previously revealed that he underwent surgery for the injury after a "WWE Main Event" match against Kit Wilson, filmed on August 21.

On Friday, Cardona took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a mirror selfie of himself flexing his triceps to mark the two-month anniversary of the surgery. He said that he has been going to rehab for the injury and making up workouts in the gym to work around it.

"In my head, I'm ALMOST ready," Cardona wrote in the post. "I don't know when I'll be cleared to return to the ring, but I do know that I'M NOT FINISHED!"

When he first revealed the injury, Cardona noted it could have happened in his August 14 match against GUNTHER on "WWE SmackDown." The pair squared off in an impromptu match after the "Ring General" confronted Cardona's real-life wife, WWE Women's Champion, Chelsea Green during a promo segment. GUNTHER defeated the former Zack Ryder in just over six minutes on the show.

As for his match against Wilson, Cardona said in his initial post that he was already banged up from the GUNTHER match, and in the first minute of the "Main Event" bout, he fell on his elbow after a second rope dropkick and heard a "pop." An MRI confirmed the injury the following day.

Cardona returned to WWE in the "Last Time is Now" tournament for an opportunity to face John Cena in his final match. He was officially announced as a member of the "SmackDown" roster in January.
