Former WWE Star Heath Slater Teases Appearance At Impact Slammiversary

Heath Slater was one of many WWE talents that were released last April as WWE were making cost-cutting measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Slater revealed on the Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast that his WWE non-compete clause ends on July 18th, and will be a free agent then.

"The world is crazy right now, we all know it. We're all on the inside freaking out and wondering what's going on. But it's one of those things where I'm a guy that takes things day-by-day. So I know that by July 18, I'm gonna have to start making some moves and get my name out there again. As of right now, I'm been enjoy doing garage workouts, hanging out with my kids and wife and just living life," Slater told Wrestling Inc. last month.

"I can do whatever I want then. I'm hanging in there until then and just working on myself ? mentally and physically and all that good stuff."

Slater today posted a Twitter video of himself training on an exercise bike with "July 18 Coming Soon" in the video, which is also the date of the Impact Slammiversary pay-per-view. He also captioned the tweet with "watch the hell out."

Impact has posted videos teasing many WWE wrestlers that were released back in April, including a former world champion returning to the company.

Earlier this month, Rhyno teased a tag partner for himself that "got kids." This was likely a reference to Slater's catchphrase, "I've Got Kids!"
