WWE Files Trademark Extension On Ring Name Of SmackDown Star

In recent weeks, WWE has filed to trademark a number of new names, including one for former TNA World Champion Mike Santana, now known as "Cruz Montana." The company is also making moves on ones already familiar to the WWE Universe.

On Tuesday, WWE filed to trademark "Giulia" for goods and services related to professional wrestling. The application, submitted through the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), aims to specifically cover wrestling performances, news, and media, such as television, radio, and online community portals.

This ring name has long been associated with the current "WWE SmackDown" star, who initially arrived to the company in 2024. WWE trademarked the moniker that same year, with this latest one being considered an extension, according to PWInsider.

Following a successful stint in "WWE NXT," Giulia ascended to WWE's main roster, namely the "SmackDown" brand, in the spring of 2025. So far, this run has yielded two reigns as WWE Women's United States Champion and an alliance with Kiana James. Giulia and James eventually separated after the latter wrongfully believed that the former cost her a Queen of the Ring qualifier in June 2026.

Giulia most recently competed on the August 20 of "WWE Main Event." Later tonight, she will take on Blake Monroe on "SmackDown," two months after the UK native originally blindsided her in her respective main roster debut. Giulia and Monroe, formerly known as Mariah May, previously wrestled each other in STARDOM on a number of occasions. There, Giulia once reigned as the World of STARDOM Champion.
