Former WWE & TNA Stars Were Backstage To Support Rebel At Last Night's AEW Dynamite

Even the most stoic of souls would have to admit that last night's "AEW Dynamite: Rebel Heart" pulled on the heartstrings between tributes to late former AEW star "The Butcher" Andy Williams and Rebel, whom the show was held in honor of as she continues her battle with ALS. And not only was AEW supporting Rebel, but PWInsider reports several notable names from the wrestling business turned up to pay tribute as well, in addition to several family members and friends, in order to pay their respects to Rebel during her ongoing battle.

Among those visiting "Dynamite" were current MLW Champion and former WWE star Killer Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, former AEW ring announcer Dasha Gonzalez, Christy Hemme, TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim, and Allysin Kay and Marti Belle of The Hex, the former whom later took to X to post a photo of her, Belle, and Rebel from last night's show. Rebel had previously been co-workers with Kim, Kay, Belle, Hemme, Kross and Bordeaux during her two stints with TNA/Impact Wrestling during the 2010s, and Kim assisted Britt Baker in performing the Ice Bucket Challenge in honor of Rebel earlier this year.

Those who attended probably got more than they bargained for, as Rebel not only made an appearance during Baker's "Waiting Room" segment, but made an appearance late in the trios match that saw Baker, Hikaru Shida, and AEW TBS Champion Persephone take on Maya World, Hyan, and Thunder Rosa. Rebel would hand Baker her trademark glove, which she used to submit Hyan as a tearful Rebel and Shida watched on. Baker and Rebel would celebrate the win by riding off to the back in Rebel's motorized scooter, in a moment that many considered one of the most emotional moments in wrestling in recent memory.
