Seth Rollins Names WWE Star Who Has Become 'One Of The Best Wrestlers On The Planet'

Over the past decade, Seth Rollins has often been considered as one of the best professional wrestlers in the world, but on Wednesday, "The Visionary" went out of his way to offer that title to a "WWE Raw" star. 

In a recent Instagram story, Rollins praised current Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable, who just had one of the best matches of the year on the red brand with Dragon Lee on Monday.

"Watching Gable grow into one of the best wrestlers on the planet has been an absolute treat."

In addition to Gable's battle with Lee, he wrestled in another terrific Intercontinental Championship defense against Rey Mysterio last month, and delivered one of the best matches of the year when he fought El Grande Americano as the Original El Grande Americano at AAA Noche de Los Grandes. Rollins hasn't been seen on WWE TV since he lost to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, but hopefully a future match with Gable will be on the horizon, as he's only had one singles match with the Intercontinental Champion in his career. However, Rollins' return to televised action could be happening soon, as he just finished wrestling on WWE's South American Live Tour last week.

Rollins' only singles match against Gable occurred on "Raw" in January 2023 where he defeated the Olympian in a Elimination Chamber Qualifying match. Other than their encounter from three years ago, Rollins and Gable have only locked up in the Royal Rumble or house show matches. At this time, Gable's next challenger for the Intercontinental Championship has yet to be confirmed, but Ethan Page has been eyeing the gold since the Minnesota native won the title at SummerSlam.
