The road to recovery for El Hijo del Vikingo has hit a pothole.

In July, Vikingo was injured while preparing for a match against EK Prosper. He tore the ACL in his left knee and successfully underwent surgery. At the time, his recovery was expected to take 6 to 8 months. Just last month, he gave an update on "WWE Ahora," stating that his recovery was going well, but his doctors urged him not to rush things.

On his Instagram, Vikingo shared a less positive update. He posted a reel with various photos of him flexing his arms. When translated, the caption reads, "Unfortunately tomorrow Mr HDLV will undergo another knee surgery, thank you all for your support."

As of now, there is no clear timeline for his return. Vikingo has had a series of injuries and surgeries since 2024. That year, he tore the meniscus in his right knee. After returning from that surgery, he was injured during a TNA taping a few months later. Two months later, he was injured during a PROGRESS match. Earlier this year, Vikingo suffered an injury scare in AAA in a match against Mini Vikingo.
