AEW Announces Fright Night Dynamite 2026

AEW kicked off All In week with an announcement nobody saw coming on Monday morning, revealing they would be holding "Grand Slam France," their first ever show in France, this October. But that wasn't all, as AEW made sure everyone got a glimpse of their October schedule, including the reveal of a special slew of holiday themed shows. Taking to X shortly after the "Grand Slam France" reveal, AEW announced that the October 28 double tapings of "Dynamite" and "Collision" would be special "Fright Night" episodes, in honor of Halloween just a few days later.

With a few exceptions, AEW has made a point to celebrate Halloween ever since they were first launched in 2019, though they only adopted a Halloween style theme to shows in 2021 with "AEW Rampage: Halloween Special." The promotion would begin using the "Fright Night" branding for the October 30, 2024 edition of "Dynamite," which featured Private Party defeating the Young Bucks to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships, and the AEW debut of Bobby Lashley. As for 2025, "Dynamite: Fright Night" featured Samoa Joe defeating HOOK, Bobby Lashley, and Ricochet to become #1 contender for the AEW Men's World Championship, while "Collision: Fright Night" saw Bandido defeat Mascara Dorada to retain the Ring of Honor World Championship.

As one would expect given the show is two months away, no matches have been announced for either the "Collision" or "Dynamite" portion of "Fright Night," though current AEW Women's World Champion Willow Nightingale, TNT Champion Kevin Knight, Skye Blue, and Will Ospreay are featured on the poster. The tapings will take place in between AEW WrestleDream, which is two weeks prior on October 17, and AEW Full Gear, which takes place two weeks later on November 14.
