AEW Announces Kickoff Date For 2026 Continental Classic Tournament

With the fall upon us, there's not a lot of time left before AEW rolls out their annual late year tournament, the Continental Classic, for its fourth edition. But when the C2 re-emergers this November, it will do so a little bit earlier than expected. Taking to X early Monday afternoon, AEW announced they would be starting the 2026 C2 on November 18, as the promotion returns to Denver, Colorado for an "AEW Dynamite" taping at the Mission Ballroom.

The C2 starting on November 18 would be the earliest the tournament has ever started in its short history, with the previous C2's kicking off on November 22, November 27, and November 26 respectively. One tradition that will continue is that the C2 will begin the "Dynamite" following AEW Full Gear, which is set to take place in Phoenix, Arizona on November 14. With a date and location for AEW Worlds End, the promotion's late December PPV, not yet announced, it is unclear whether this means Worlds End will be moved up to earlier in the month, or if the C2 will be expanding its field to accommodate more time between Full Gear and Worlds End.

The November 18 "Dynamite" will also represent the second time AEW has visited Denver's Mission Ballroom in 2026, having previously held their February 25 episode of "Dynamite" out of the venue. Serving as one of the final stops on the road to AEW Revolution, the show featured one of the most popular "Dynamite" main events of the year, as Jack Perry and the Young Bucks teamed with Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed, and Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz to defeat FTR, and Bishop Kaun, Ricochet, and Toa Liona of The Demand in a Mile High Madness multi-man match.
