946 leader Royce Keys has discussed Carmelo Hayes joining the group and revealed that the two have been friends for a long time.

Hayes surprised everyone by joining the group at the end of "WWE Raw." In an interview with "The Takedown on SI," Keys warned that no one would be safe as long as they were around. The former AEW star issued an ominous warning to anyone who crossed the 946 in WWE, stating that all members of the group would show a different side of themselves, including newcomer Carmelo Hayes.

"It's gonna give him a different side. It's given me a different side. It's given Bronco, Lucien and Jada, you know, everyone's gonna see a different side of all of us. Those three numbers mean something, and something we say every single week: 946 means ain't nobody safe," added Keys.

Keys revealed that his friendship with Hayes dates back to before either joined WWE and claimed that fans would soon get to see more of Hayes and a new side of him.

"Melo's always been my boy. Before this even came up, before WWE. I know how he is. He's just like a pit bull. He's got a little Tyson in him that some people haven't seen. The world got a taste of it [Monday] night, so it's just one of those things that, you know, it's like a pot of gumbo. You got all your ingredients and you're seasoning it, and once it's together, you know, it's just a chef's kiss," he said.

Following his addition to the group, Hayes took to social media to warn that no one is safe now that he is part of 946. The former WWE United States Champion was reportedly added to the group at Keys' insistence. Keys formed 946 alongside Lucien Price and Bronco Nima before adding Jaida Parker to the faction.
