The stars of All Elite Wrestling were in the Halloween spirit on October 28 as the company presented the Fright Night edition of "AEW Dynamite" in St. Louis, Missouri. Queen Aminata won her first piece of gold in AEW by beating Persephone to become the new AEW TBS Champion. Darby Allin successfully defended his AEW TNT Championship against Josh Alexander, and the main event of AEW Full Gear 2026 looks to be set as Kyle Fletcher challenged Will Ospreay to a match for the AEW World Championship.

As far as the television ratings are concerned, AEW did receive a small fright for this week's show, as Wrestlenomics have confirmed that the Fright Night edition of "Dynamite" averaged 620,000 viewers. This is a 6% drop from the previous week's 661,000 viewers, and 18% below the trailing four week average of 758,000 viewers, with the show garnering the lowest ratings since the Grand Slam France special that was preempted to air on a Tuesday night, and the lowest in its regular Wednesday night slot since the Rebel Heart special on September 9. With all that said the current average for both the month of October and the fourth quarter of 2026 sits at 665,000 viewers, 38% above the October 2025 average and 34% above the average for the fourth quarter of last year.

In the 18-49 demographic, there was also a drop as the show posted a 0.14 number, 7% lower than the 0.15 number posted seven days ago. The Fright Night special was also 18% lower than the trailing four week average of 0.17, but was enough to finish second for the night in its timeslot behind the NBA according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, who also reported that the show posted a 0.21 number in the 25-54 demographic.
